#ThroughIt
When creating our campaign, we talked and listened to lymphoma patients, nurses, family & friends of those who have been diagnosed, and the AYA (age 15-39) population in the Boulder community to understand how to position Lymphoma as a blood cancer and make it a household name.

#ThroughIt
#ThroughIt was created when talking with Flori Legette, an Oncology RN at Children's Hospital Colorado, about the struggles she sees patients go through, "the main thing I tell people who have been diagnosed with Lymphoma is that they just have to get through it." In the past, Flori has had very difficult conversations with patients including having to tell them that there is nothing else that can be done to help them.

Through Lymphoma
From surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews, we learned that interactive events are very influential to the participation in public relations campaigns. We quickly contacted artist, Evelyn Kiehfuss, who created a meaningful depiction of what lymphoma could look like in your blood. The photo to the right is a preview and picture of her painting that allows people to see through lymphoma. Evelyn's painting will be traveling through the CU Boulder campus at various locations.
03
Restaurant Outreach
To connect with the Boulder community, we created meaningful partnerships with two of Boulder's popular restaurants. T/ACO is hosting a LRF night on Friday, February 11th that will donate 5% of all dinner sales to the LRF. Additionally, Rio Grande Restaurant in Boulder will pass out our customized flyers spreading the word about lymphoma, the LRF, and making them both household names.
04
UMC Tabling
To stay connected to the theme of blood, on Valentine's day, our team will have a table at our University's UMC where we will be passing out chocolates and spreading awareness about lymphoma and the LRF! We will have pamphlets that will outline what lymphoma is and the importance of knowing the warning signs and symptoms.
05
Social Media
Our social media platforms including Instagram and Twitter will share various stories of people who have been #ThroughIt and create a safe space for connecting with others. We hope our platforms will facilitate forums for discussion between those who have been through it, have supported others through it, or who have never been through it. Our social media plan will make lymphoma and the LRF a household name, and position Lymphoma as a household name.
